The images are identified by the photographer with the names of the people as well as their tribal affiliation. The essays included in this book explain the life and times of Lee Moorhouse and how many of the portraits feature the same clothing and props. Moorhouse was an avid collector of Native American artifacts for his personal cabinet of curiosities.
