Emily Riddle
Emily Riddle is Nehiyaw and a member of the Alexander First Nation (Kipohtakaw) in Treaty 6. She lives in Amiskwaciw skahikan (Edmonton), where she works as the Senior Advisor, Indigenous Relations for the Edmonton Public Library, and makes time for research, editing and visual art. Her writing has been published in The Globe and Mail, Teen Vogue, Room Magazine and PRISM International, among others. Emily has been shortlisted for the CBC Poetry Prize, won Silver in Poetry for the National Magazine Awards, and gold in poetry at the Alberta Magazine Awards. She was selected for the 2021 Writers’ Trust Mentorship by Joshua Whitehead and was awarded the Edmonton Artists Trust Award.
