Orange Shirt Day tells the story of Orange Shirt Day, a day observed annually on September 30th to honour residential school survivors and their families, and to remember those who did not make it. This book explores the historical impact on Indigenous people in order to create champions who will walk a path of reconciliation through Orange Shirt Day, promoting the message that Every Child Matters. The Orange Shirt Society is a non-profit society based in Williams Lake BC that grew out of the events in 2013 inspired by Chief Robbins' vision for reconciliation.

This innovative and vibrant resource honours the centuries-old healing traditions of Métis women. Christi Belcourt fuses her evocative artwork with Indigenous Traditional Knowledge and Western Science. With contributions from Métis Elders Rose Richardson and Olive Whitford, as well as key Michif phrases and terminology, Medicines to Help Us is the most accessible resource relating to Métis healing traditions produced to date.
What I Remember, What I Know: The Life of a High Arctic Exile is written by Larry Audlaluk who was born in Uugaqsiuvik, a small camp west of Inukjuak in northern Quebec. Larry Audlaluk has seen incredible changes in his lifetime. He was relocated to the High Arctic in the early 1950s with his family when he was almost three years old. They were promised a land of plenty. They discovered an inhospitable polar desert. Sharing memories both painful and joyous, Larry tells of loss, illness, and his family’s fight to return home, juxtaposed with excerpts from official government reports.
Spirit Run: A 6.000-Mile Marathon Through North America's Stolen Land by Noé Álvarez is his story of growing up in Yakima, Washington, at an apple-packing plant alongside his mother, who “slouched over a conveyor belt of fruit, shoulder to shoulder with mothers conditioned to believe this was all they could do with their lives.” A university scholarship offered escape, but as a first-generation Latino college-goer, Álvarez struggled to fit in.
Inconvenient Skin / nayêhtâwan wasakay written by Shane Koyczan, Cree, and now available in paperback, is a dual language English and Cree poetry and art book. It includes the artwork by Kent Monkman, of Cree ancestry; Joseph Sánchez, a leader in Indigenous and Chicano arts since the 1970s; Jim Logan, who grew up in a Métis household; and Nadia Kwandibens Anishinaabe (Ojibwe) from the Animakee Wa Zhing #37 First Nation. The Cree translation is provided by Solomon Ratt.
