NO LONGER AVAILABLE  PC Format - Extra CD for Lab Pack The Great Peace…The Gathering of Good Minds CD-ROM blends oral traditional learning with today's high-tech interactive media. The CD-ROM is a comprehensive educational resource that reflects the Iroquois perspective of The Great Peace. It follows the story of The Peacemaker, the man who long ago gathered the Five Nations under The Great Law of the Iroquois Confederacy. It takes users on a journey through the ages, beginning at Creation, moving through Dark and Troubled Times, and on to The Birth of the Great Law. From here the viewer enters Great Peace Interactive Journey that explores the history and culture of the Six Nations Iroquois, and ultimately ends in the Peace section which teaches morals and values based on the Great Law. The CD provides three distinct inter-active learning levels, so that it is equally suitable for elementary, secondary and post-secondary levels. Not only is it a powerful research tool, it is also designed to be entertaining and fun for people of all ages. Created by Iroquois People, the CD-ROM provides a unique and accurate view that is bias/stereotype-free. It is the result of years of research, with input from the broader Iroquois community, including traditional leaders, teachers, writers, photographers, artists and musicians. Educators and historians from around the world have actively provided input for its design and content.
