Charlie The Chinook is a children's picture book about the adventures of a young Chinook wind who plays too long with his human playmates. Charlie leaves the protection of his elders and ventures out on his own. On this first solo flight, Charlie discovers the joy of bringing warm weather to a snowbound community in the Alberta Rockies. While he is having so much fun bringing warm weather to his new friends, he discovers there are consequences in having too much of a good thing. This is an imaginative story that will delight young readers. There are important messages contained in the story and the book makes an excellent introduction for science classes studying weather patterns.
