This book describes the day of iskwesis, a young and inquisitive girl, as she ventures into the forest. iskwesis comes across different creatures; animals, birds, and insects that make their home in the forest and names them. At the end of her adventurous day she dreams about the creatures she saw and their respective indigenous language names.

Note: this book is a translation of nipapāmohtan sakāhk or I Walk in the Forest. The original version of this book was written in Plains Cree by the SICC. Every effort was made to ensure this translation is accurate, however because of the differences between First Nations’ languages the meaning of some terms and phrases may vary from the original.
