Over six chapters Missing and Exploited Indigenous Women and Girls is discussed as follows: Chapter 1: MMIWG is explained and names some of the missing or murdered Indigenous women and girls. This is a national crisis related to racism and discrimination. Chapter 2, A National Inquiry, is about the Government of Canada’s response to this crisis beginning in 2015. Chapter 3 describes the path to this crisis reflecting the historical development of reserves, residential schools, the Sixties Scoop, and a timeline of the MMIWG.
