Sheila Cote-Meek is an Anishnaabe-Kwe from the Teme-Augama Anishnabai. She is currently the inaugural Vice-President, Equity, People and Culture at York University where she is leading a new division that includes the Centre for Human Rights, Equity and Inclusion, Human Resources and Labour Relations. She was Associate Vice President of Academic and Indigenous Programs as well as a professor in the School of Indigenous Relations at Laurentian University.
