Ted Williams
Ted C. Williams 1930-2005 was born on the Tuscarora Indian Reservation in western New York. His father was a Sachem chief of the Turtle clan and his mother was a member of the Wolf clan. After graduating from LaSalle High School, in Niagara Falls, New York, he joined the United States Army and was a paratrooper for four years. After his discharge, Williams studied trumpet and modern jazz at the Knapp School of Music.
