Description
Melissa Mollen Dupuis is a member of the Innu community of Ekuanitshit on Quebec's Cote-Nord. She specializes in sharing the culture of her people with non-Indigenous audiences through her writing and directing and is the co-founder of the Quebec branch of the Idle No More movement.
Elise Gravel has won a Governor General's Award for illustration, the Vicky Metcalf Award for Literature for Young People, the Rights and Freedoms Award from the Quebec Commission des droits de la personne et des droits de la jeunesse, two Applied Arts Awards and a Grafika Award.
